Terms of Service

Last updated: 12 July 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ThoughtPartner, a personal AI assistant operated by Lintel ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

ThoughtPartner is a personal AI assistant that helps you organise information and answer questions using the conversations, files, and services you connect to it. We may add, change, or remove features over time. The service is provided on an ongoing but evolving basis and may include features labelled beta or preview.

Your account

You need an account to use ThoughtPartner, and you must provide accurate sign-in information and keep your access secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the service.

Your content and storage

You own the content you put into ThoughtPartner — your messages, files, and the memory your assistant builds. During setup you choose where that content is stored: your own self-hosted storage, or storage we host for you. You grant us only the limited permission needed to operate the service for you: to store, process, and transmit your content so your assistant can function (including sending relevant content to our AI provider to generate responses). We do not sell your content or use it to train AI models.

You are responsible for the content you provide and for having the right to use it. Don't upload content you don't have the rights to, or that is unlawful.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use ThoughtPartner to:

  • break the law or infringe others' rights;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, other accounts, or our systems;
  • interfere with, overload, or disrupt the service;
  • abuse, reverse-engineer, or resell the service except as permitted by law.

Connected services

You may connect third-party services such as Google Calendar or Telegram. Your use of those services remains governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and connecting them authorises ThoughtPartner to access the specific data described in our Privacy Policy. You can disconnect a connected service at any time.

AI-generated content

ThoughtPartner uses AI to generate responses. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation, and should not be relied on as professional advice (legal, medical, financial, or otherwise). You are responsible for reviewing and deciding how to use what the assistant produces.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available and reliable, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, and we may update these Terms; if we make material changes we'll update the "last updated" date above, and continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the service.

Termination

You can stop using ThoughtPartner and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service or other users. On termination, the provisions that by their nature should survive (such as content ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.
