That's the right trade for a chore. It's the wrong one for anything you're supposed to get better at — schoolwork, decisions, writing, judgement. Something that does those for you works best when you're least involved, and the gap it filled is still there tomorrow.

So both of ours are built to stop one step short, on purpose. Not because they can't finish — because finishing was the part that was yours.
